Barcelona, humiliated again, Real Madrid leads UEFA ranking
The humiliating position in which Barcelona finds itself in the recent ranking led by Real Madrid
UEFA has recently updated its ranking of the best clubs in all of Europe. Real Madrid, to no one's surprise, continues to lead this ranking as the best club on the entire continent. Barcelona, meanwhile, is ranked 9th, being one of the lowest-ranked clubs and surpassed by teams like Leverkusen.
Despite the supposed good season it had last year, Barcelona has received a reality check. Its ninth position in this ranking shows that it remains one of the worst clubs on the continent. This is clearly the result of the humiliating decade the club has had in Europe, losing several matches in embarrassing fashion.
Real Madrid, even with only 2 titles won last season, has a wide lead over second place. With 117,500 points, the Merengue club surpasses the 108,250 points held by second place, Bayern Munich.
The big difference between clubs
Having just one decent season isn't enough to claim to be the best team in the world. Barcelona has just realized this with the recent ranking published by UEFA. With only 83,250 points, Barcelona has managed to surpass only Roma, which is in tenth place with 80,500 points.

With Real Madrid as the clear leader and Bayern in second place, the ranking has Inter in third with 107,250. City follows with 102,750 points and Liverpool with 101,500 points. In sixth place is Paris Saint-Germain with a total of 94,500 points.
This is surprising given that the Parisian team is the recent Champions League champion. In seventh place is Leverkusen with 85,250 points and in eighth is Dortmund with 84,750. This has made it clear, especially to the blaugrana fans, that Barcelona isn't even close to being part of the top 5.
The reality for the Culers
With a wide gap between Real Madrid and Barcelona, the superiority enjoyed by the Merengue team is evident. Despite this, the signings made by the club this summer show its goal of widening the gap even further against the Culers.
