Bellingham reveals what his dream is after a season to forget: 'I wish...'

The midfielder is motivated ahead of the Club World Cup to turn around a bad season

Jude Bellingham doesn't hide his desires to end the year on a high note. After a challenging season collectively, the English midfielder looks forward to the next big challenge: the 2025 Club World Cup.

"I hope we win the Club World Cup," he declared after the last league match for the Brit. "It's the team's and the club's dream. It's important for us after a weak season."

a historic event for Real Madrid

The tournament will be held this summer in the United States and will be the first edition with the new expanded format. 32 teams from around the world will participate.

Real Madrid arrives as one of the big favorites. Not only because of its history, but because of what winning this title in its first edition means.

For Bellingham, it's not just about lifting another trophy. He sees it as an opportunity for the club to reaffirm its international status.

"Madrid has to be at the top in every competition. And this tournament is special. Being the first champions would give a lot of prestige," he explained.

more than trophies: economic and image impact

The Club World Cup also represents a significant economic impact for the participating entities. The figures involved in prizes and television rights are much higher than in past editions.

But, according to Bellingham, the most relevant thing isn't the money. "What's important is what it means globally. We want to win for what it represents. It's a way to leave a mark," he added.

With Xabi Alonso at the helm after Ancelotti's departure, the team will seek to start a new cycle strongly.

Bellingham trusts the new coach and the group's capability. "We have a squad to compete with anyone. This trophy could be the start of something big," the Englishman commented.

Real Madrid's debut will be on June 18 against Al-Hilal. They also share the group with Pachuca and RB Salzburg.

The United States will be the stage, and Miami's Hard Rock Stadium will host that first match.

The challenge is clear: to feel like champions again. And Bellingham wants to lead that reconquest.
