Bombshell: Vinícius seeks a solution and his departure could be immediate

The forward from São Gonçalo has not yet decided about his continuity as a Madridist

The figure of Vinícius is under the spotlight in recent days. Xabi Alonso's decision to leave him on the bench in the match against Real Oviedo, giving him minutes well into the second half at Carlos Tartiere, is provoking multiple reactions. In addition to being a message to the rest of the squad, warning that there are no untouchable players, it puts Vinícius's continuity at risk.

This is what "OKDiario" would have reported: the digital outlet founded and directed by Eduardo Inda points out that the verdeamarelo striker "wouldn't be opposed to a departure in the final week of the transfer window". The substitution against Real Oviedo, a technical decision that the South American player's entourage already suspected during the week leading up to the match in the capital of Asturias, would have triggered everything.

In addition to being increasingly receptive to leaving Real Madrid this very summer, Vinícius remains firm: He doesn't wish to extend his stay in Santiago Bernabéu locker room. The current contract of the verdeamarelo player ends in mid-2027, a deadline that the Madrid sporting management is trying to extend until the summer of 2030.

The talks held in the first months of 2025 have ended with an even greater separation than previously existed between the player's demands and the club's prepared concessions. Despite Vinícius's clear and evident intentions, which include leaving Real Madrid as soon as possible, it appears to be a very complicated move.

It's very complicated

The information published by the aforementioned outlet indicates that it's a "unlikely scenario". At least in the immediate term: the turbulence surrounding Vinícius's lackluster performance doesn't stop, preventing the European soccer elite from making a move to try to sign him. Not even Saudi Arabia, quite active during the months of June and July, has made another approach.

This absence of offers for Vinícius in the Valdebebas offices, in addition to Real Madrid's refusal to let the player leave, significantly complicate the achievement of the desired transfer. The few days remaining until the end of the 2025 summer window, less than a week, aren't enough time to negotiate for a footballer like Vinícius Jr.

The executives led by Florentino Pérez aren't unaware of Vinícius's desire to leave the Spanish capital. That's why they'll try once again to renew his contract, setting the summer of 2026 as the deadline. If they don't achieve their goal, "the sale plan will be activated" according to "OKDiario": "the white board doesn't consider under any circumstances letting the striker leave for free".

Especially when they can cap off the excellent soccer performance he has delivered since 2018 with a lucrative financial offer. Although his career has been short, Vinícius would become one of the most profitable players of the current sporting project in both senses... a future that Real Madrid wishes to avoid by achieving a renewal over the next twelve months.
