Vinícius's contract renewal is still hanging in the air. According to "Defensa Central," negotiations stalled after that initial approach, which took place back in February.

Later, Vinícius made statements in which he showed his desire to stay at Real Madrid. "I hope the talks will be solved in the coming days. It's very exciting to be able to open talks with Real Madrid about my contract renewal", said the Brazilian striker.

"I have a contract until I'm 27 years old, but I've always said I want to play here for a long time, to make history and receive the fans' affection. God willing, in the coming days the negotiation will be solved and I'll be able to stay here for much longer", Vinícius added.

Real Madrid continues to manage Vinícius's contract renewal

At the white club, they know that, by the middle of the season, Vinícius will enter the final 18 months of his contract. This is a red line that top-level clubs don't like to cross when it comes to keeping their biggest stars.
