The campaign against Vinicius continues, they want him out of the Club World Cup: 'Substitute'

They were eager to go after Vini to immediately demand his benching

Vinicius is still in the spotlight even though we're at the Club World Cup in the United States. The Brazilian isn't having problems with the fans since there are no insults or racist behavior. However, some are trying to stir up controversy at all costs to go against him.

This time, it comes from the semifinals of the World Cup in which Real Madrid faces PSG. On El Chiringuito, they've already started to suggest that Vinicius shouldn't be a starter. One of the panelists has been blunt about what Xabi Alonso should do.

"For me, he has to lose his starting spot with the way Vinicius is playing," said Matías Palacios. He went on to insist that "Mbappé has to play and Gonzalo has to play." It seems they were waiting for Mbappé to score so they could start this campaign against the Brazilian.

Mbappé came onto the field in the second half of the match against Borussia Dortmund in the quarterfinals. In stoppage time, he scored Real Madrid's third goal, which seems to earn him a starting spot. Or at least that's what everyone who wants to send Vinicius to the bench immediately thinks.

Gonzalo remains the undisputed starter

The one who doesn't seem to raise any doubts is Gonzalo, who keeps earning his place as an undisputed starter. His goals, his work with and without the ball, his runs off the ball—Xabi Alonso is delighted with what he brings. That's why the question is whether Vinicius should go to the bench and if Mbappé is already ready to play 90 minutes.

"Gonzalo can't leave this team, he touches the ball and it's a goal, he's the top scorer of the Club World Cup," said Matías. "How could he not start on Wednesday?" the contributor kept asking. In the background, Pedrerol added that "if he doesn't play, Madrid loses out."

We'll see what Xabi Alonso decides because he's going to have to make the first big decision at Madrid. Mbappé surely wants to face his former teammates with a desire to prove himself. Meanwhile, Gonzalo is in great form and Vinicius wants to keep improving his performances.
