Carvajal's goal that's going around the world: the full-back is in top-level form

Carvajal keeps surprising after his injury, and the goal he scored during training is making headlines around the world

One of the most important absences last season was, without a doubt, right-back Dani Carvajal. The footballer and Madrid youth academy product had been one of the best the previous season and was certainly missed on the right flank. Now, after an extremely tough multiple ligament injury, he seems to be back at 100% with a goal in training, dribbling past everyone.

It's caused a lot of hype to see a footballer with such a serious injury performing at such an outstanding level. Starting with a play almost from midfield, where he dribbled past more than three players and scored. Obviously, it's still a bit early to say he's at his best, but little by little we're starting to see those details of the legend he is.

Carvajal returns to a great level

It was already evident in the first match of the season, where he came on as a substitute for Alexander-Arnold with a more than acceptable level. One of the main characteristics of the youth academy product is his defensive solidity and his determination in tackles. This is exactly what we saw in the few minutes he was able to play, and he definitely showed that he's confident enough to be important.

For a coach like Xabi Alonso, having a player with this level of experience and, above all, physical strength is a great starting point. He'll serve not only to inspire the younger players in this position, but also as a captain to the rest of the team.

While this goal may seem a bit exaggerated to many, since he was playing against inexperienced youngsters, it speaks to the player's physical strength at the start of the season. The fact that he's able to compete at a more than acceptable level with footballers younger than him, being over 30 years old (over 30 years old), proves his commitment. This is something that many don't even question, considering that he's had a career that's practically impossible to replicate with Real Madrid.

His best version is still to come

As the season goes on, we'll surely see him get better and better on the field, and he'll be one of the most important additions for Alonso. Practically as if he were a new signing, he'll be key to the team's defensive and offensive solidity. At least that's what's expected from a player who's not only a living legend of Madrid, but of soccer in general.
