Ceballos has already informed Florentino, his departure could be imminent: the proposal

The future of the Andalusian midfielder could undergo a radical change

Apart from the hypothetical departure of Rodrygo Goes, supposedly heading to the Premier League, Real Madrid also has another saga in the transfer market: Dani Ceballos. The continuity of the Sevillian number "19", despite the arrival of Xabi Alonso, is under scrutiny. Not only because the player would once again be a substitute under the Tolosa coach.

It is also because, taking advantage of that designation as a second-string player, the Andalusian midfielder may have taken the opportunity to request his departure from Santiago Bernabéu locker room. The reported interest from Real Betis regarding his signing, a move Dani Ceballos has been pursuing for up to three years, remains on his immediate competitive horizon.

The contacts between Real Betis and the entourage of the Madrid midfielder would be key to bringing positions closer between the Verdiblanco side and the player, who may have expressed his desire to leave. If that is the case, the opinion of the executives led by Florentino Pérez is very clear... and has not changed since the first rumors about his departure were heard.

If Dani Ceballos wishes to leave the Madrid sports discipline, even though Xabi Alonso wants to count on him for his future tactical plans, the White club will allow him to leave. The Madrid leadership would give the green light to the operation as long as a deal is reached on the financial front.

Only requirement

On previous occasions, both Real Madrid and Real Betis began timid negotiations. The goal of those talks was none other than to definitively solve the future of Dani Ceballos, a team change that ultimately has not materialized for three consecutive summers.

This is precisely where the main obstacle lies that prevents Dani Ceballos's transfer to Real Betis from being completed. The figures for this signing do not fit with the total investment that the board led by Ángel Haro is willing to spend on the signing of the Utrera midfielder. The transfer fee demanded by the White side, on previous occasions, seemed too expensive.

The same would happen with the salary of the Spanish player. The emoluments Dani Ceballos currently receives in Santiago Bernabéu locker room are too much for Real Betis's salary cap. In this scenario, the White number "19" would have to accept a substantial pay cut if he wishes to return to Benito Villamarín.

Real Madrid keeps the exit door open for Dani Ceballos, but it will not push the number "19" out of Santiago Bernabéu locker room either. Especially at the request of Xabi Alonso: the Tolosa coach believes he can be an exceptional support for Arda Güler, coming off the bench. A clear sign of that trust is his starting role in the friendly against WSG Tirol last August 12.
