Cadena SER Announces Vinícius's Renewal and an Immediate Sale: 'Ears Perked'

The footballer, according to what was heard on this station, could be close to leaving the white team

One of the signings that Real Madrid would have pending for the next season is the incorporation of a new coach. As it stands, the one who would replace Carlo Ancelotti at the helm of the white team is none other than Xabi Alonso, current coach of Bayer Leverkusen.

The hiring of the Basque coach has raised many doubts. Not only because of the terms of his arrival to the local bench at Santiago Bernabéu, but also because of the changes he would request from the executives led by Florentino Pérez in the first team. These modifications, given the irregular performance offered this season, would be deeper than they seem.

On Cadena SER, in addition to the renewal of Vinícius Jr., they have revealed a possible change that Santiago Bernabéu locker room would experience. Given the more than likely arrival of Xabi Alonso to the first merengue team, a player could find himself placed on the transfer list for this very summer: Rodrygo Goes.

According to what was heard on this station, Xabi Alonso would be considering recovering the two-forward system... counting exclusively on Vinícius and Kylian Mbappé to integrate a renewed attacking front. This arrangement, which would have "Bellingham arriving" from the second line as an attacking midfielder, leaves Rodrygo Goes as the main affected.

With these modifications, "Rodrygo is going to pay the price". Manu Carreño insisted that "that's the direction things are going" regarding that tactical change planned for the next season, when one of the panelists summed it all up. "Come on, Rodrygo might have his ears perked up then," a phrase as forceful as it is concerning for the '11' verdeamarelo.

Because the formation of a new forward line, counting only on Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Jr., would leave the striker from Osasco out of those tactical plans for the starting eleven. Xabi Alonso would consider, according to the commentators of Cadena SER, playing with two forwards given what was experienced this season by Carlo Ancelotti.

It seems clear that one of the members of the trident is destined to leave the team. Javier Herráez points out that "Ancelotti has insisted that this balance, with the absence of Toni Kroos, could be mitigated if the three up front dropped back and they haven't". The lack of defensive efforts by Real Madrid's starting forwards, many interpret, has been one of the team's major problems this season.

"In other words, the ones up front have let Ancelotti down" by assuring that they would fulfill their corresponding defensive efforts... only to then 'ignore' their tasks in the defensive phases. The readaptation of the Madrid scheme seems a certainty, regardless of the coach who occupies Real Madrid, a necessary change that seems to point right now to Rodrygo Goes.
