Confirmed in England: Contacts with Real Madrid's Plan B for Alphonso Davies
The alternative that Real Madrid has in mind in case the long-awaited transfer of Alphonso Davies ends up failing
The season is still underway and with it, the transfer markets are getting closer. While Real Madrid is not expected to make a major move in winter, the club could start working on several transfers. One of the most notable is that of Alphonso Davies.
Bayern Munich star and one of the best left wingers in the world, Davies is one of Real Madrid's priority transfers. However, and getting ready for any scenario, the club has begun contacts with Theo Hernández.
The AC Milan winger is considered to be the plan B in case the deal for Alphonso Davies fails. After several seasons with the Italian team, the Frenchman has established himself as a great left winger. His performance against Real Madrid in the Champions League showed that he has the level to return to the Meringues.
Real Madrid's alternative
Leaving the club in 2018 after a season with Real Madrid, Theo has only managed to improve his level. Arriving at Milan in 2019, the player has established himself as a pillar and leader for the Italians. His 1,475 minutes played this season are a sign of the outstanding importance he has for the Rossoneri.
Although Real Madrid are focused on Alpho Davies, the deal for the Canadian has raised several questions. Bayern Munich, aware of the importance of the full-back, have been reluctant to let their player leave as a free agent next summer.
The interest in Theo shows that the full-back, despite his inconsistent spell at Real Madrid, has made a notable improvement. Although his return to the club depends on Davies, the fact that he is considered to join Real Madrid again demonstrates his great level.
The team's next Full-back
Having played for one season with Real Madrid, Theo wouldn't need an adaptation process to get into rhythm with the rest of the team. Even so, his importance in Milan and the situation with Davies still raise doubts regarding his return to the Merengue.
