Courtois lashes out at Neuer over Donnarumma, response after Musiala's injury
The Belgian has shared his opinion on the controversy following the serious injury of the German player
The Club World Cup has already brought us terrible news, the serious injury suffered by Jamal Musiala. It was in the quarterfinals between Bayern and PSG where he left a chilling image. In a clash with Donnarumma, his leg got caught and he had to be taken off on a stretcher.
Neuer said that "it was a situation where I don't think it was strictly necessary to go in like that." He also admitted that he had approached Donnarumma to tell him to talk to Musiala. He revealed these words to the media after the match.

"I went up to him and told him that Jamal is lying there and most likely he'll stay in the hospital for now. He has a serious injury and I think it's appropriate to go there out of respect, wish him all the best, and simply apologize. So he went over to Jamal," the goalkeeper also revealed.
These words don't seem to have convinced Courtois, who has pointed directly at Neuer. The Belgian goalkeeper said that "blaming Donnarumma for Musiala's injury seems excessive to me. Goalkeepers go for the ball, forwards don't hold back either when they come at us".
Courtois and Donnarumma won't face each other in the Club World Cup
After this exchange of words, we don't know if there will be a response from the German. What we can confirm is that they won't face each other for the rest of the Club World Cup. The semifinals will see PSG and Real Madrid face off, with Bayern already eliminated.

The Germans fell in the quarterfinals to the Parisians, in a match marked by Musiala's injury. Beyond that, they knew how to take advantage of the goals from Doué and Dembélé. They earned a place in the semifinals and remain the big favorites to win the tournament.
However, they'll be up against Real Madrid, which won't make things easy for PSG at all. Xabi Alonso's side got rid of Borussia Dortmund in a match they had under control. Although the final 3-2 scoreline seems to indicate more suffering than there actually was.
