The curious reply of Leganés's coach about Real Madrid's BMV

The unexpected Real Madrid player that the Leganés coach mentioned after being questioned about the BMV

After the last LaLiga matchday, now it's time for the Copa del Rey. Among all the matches, the most notable is the one that will pit Real Madrid against Leganés. A match that promises a lot of excitement and for which both teams have been preparing arduously.

Having to face the current LaLiga leader, Leganés's coach was questioned by the BMV. The offensive trio with which Real Madrid has been overwhelming each and every one of its rivals. Expecting his opinion regarding this offensive power, the coach surprised by saying: "the one I like the most is Luka Modric."

Words that are clearly praises for the veteran Croatian midfielder. Despite not being necessarily known for his goal-scoring skills, the player has stood out in other ways. Astonishing the world for many years with his quality, Borja Jiménez was unable to ignore his admiration for him.

Respect for Modric

Joining Real Madrid in 2012, Luka Modric is a true legend of Real Madrid. Playing his 13th season with the club, the Croatian remains an important pillar for the team.  The 1,498 minutes he has played, although far from his minutes in his best years, still demonstrate his relevance in Real Madrid.

Despite the large number of stars in the merengue squad, the words of Leganés's coach were clear. Instead of preferring any of the club's strikers, the coach prefers the Croatian legend.

This, apart from being a clear show of respect, evidences how decisive Modric remains at Real Madrid. Despite his 39 years, the recognition from coaches like Borja Jiménez makes it clear that Modric is still dangerous.

Recognition of a legend

Having to wait less and less for this imminent match, Modric could see some playing time. Managing to maintain a great level despite his age. The Croatian continues to demonstrate the reasons why he is one of the great legends of Real Madrid.
