Davies' Transfer for Madrid is Experiencing a New Change: He is about to Sign
The Canadian is one of Florentino Pérez's objectives to strengthen the team for the next campaign
This season, Real Madrid is planning their team with the intention of strengthening those areas where they are having problems. And it is in defense where Carlo Ancelotti's men are having a hard time.
Between injuries and the poor performance of some players, Madrid is suffering in its defense. On this last point, it is worth mentioning the situation at left wing. Ferland Mendy is not at his best and Fran García is not convincing.
The Whites have been eyeing the transfer of Alphonso Davies for months. The Bayern Munich player's contract expires in June 2025. This is a very advantageous circumstance for Madrid, since the player would arrive as a free agent.
Davies, 24, would reinforce the left flank, but also the midfield. We are looking at a versatile and experienced player. He has already been with Bayern for seven seasons, performing at the highest level.
It gets very complicated
However, Bayern's latest moves, which don't give up on Davies, could make things much more complicated for Madrid. To the point that Concha Espina would now be giving up on the player.
According to 'OkDiario', Davies could renew his contract with Bayern or even accept an offer from the Premier League. Several English teams could offer him a transfer fee, a transfer bonus and a higher salary than the one Madrid would offer him.
According to the newspaper run by Eduardo Inda, the Merengue team had contacted Davies' entourage. The player has reportedly accepted Madrid's conditions, but events of a different nature could have changed everything.
On the one hand, Bayern's latest offer to renew his contract. And on the other hand, the offers that Davies could be receiving, much more attractive than Madrid's. At Bernabéu they are already pessimistic and don't count on the defender, which forces them to change their strategy.
However, Chamartín is counting on Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Liverpool player's contract also expires at the end of last season and he could legally commit to Madrid in January.
