Edu Aguirre's Response to Vinícius's Departure With the Big Offer From Saudi Arabia

The panelist of 'El Chiringuito de Jugones' has followed the case very closely

Real Madrid Still Can't Move On from the 'Vinícius Case'. The possible renewal of the verdeamarelo footballer  wasn't a priority in the Valdebebas offices until last August 2024. It was then that the interest from Saudi Arabia in acquiring the '7' merengue's contract was notified, and the footballer's conversations with those offers arrived unexpectedly.

The merengue striker delayed any possibility of leaving Santiago Bernabéu locker room knowing he had the pending conquest of the Ballon d'Or, an event that never came to pass. Many speculated that this significant setback would change everything, but it would have only narrowed the gap between the carioca forward and the Saudi Arabian clubs interested in his transfer.

The situation seems to have completely stalled. On 'El Chiringuito de Jugones,' it has been made clear on more than one occasion, especially by Josep Pedrerol, that  Real Madrid isn't willing to negotiate Vinícius Jr's departure. The white player has a contract until the summer of 2027 and a release clause set at 1 billion euros.

Anyone who wishes to acquire the South American footballer's contract before the end of his current contract must pay that amount. The only alternative, they would point out from the Valdebebas offices, is to wait for the white player to exhaust his contract with the merengue entity and leave with a free transfer. One of the journalists who has closely followed this 'case' is Edu Aguirre, also from 'El Chiringuito de Jugones'.

Many Doubts

The panelist and reporter seems to be very connected with several of the parties involved in this saga, although he doesn't seem to be clear about the forward's future. When asked if Vinícius will play for Real Madrid next season, his reply greatly worries Madrid fans: "I don't know, hopefully, but I don't know".

Those remarkable statements, in the latest episode of 'El Chiringuito de Jugones,' fill the footballer's next steps with doubts:  "I say yes, but I don't know," Edu Aguirre concludes. The saga surrounding Vinícius continues with each passing day, adding more instability to the situation of a player who just spoke about his future a day ago.

Vinícius spoke to TNT Sports Brasil and indicated that "God willing, in the coming days the negotiation will be solved and I can be here for much longer". These words, after the hard-fought and hard-earned victory at Etihad Stadium, left Madrid fans more at ease... although not for long, judging by the information published since then.

Be that as it may, Real Madrid is very clear about its stance on the possible departure of one of its top scorers in recent seasons. Rumors are quickly accumulating while the executives led by Florentino Pérez work on a renewal offer. Major moves could come in summer 2025, a key date for the white player's future in every sense.
