Emotional Gesture from Madrid with RCD Mallorca, the Balearic Club's CEO Confesses It
Real Madrid will have a grand gesture with RCD Mallorca in the Spanish Supercopa
Another gesture from Real Madrid that continues to confirm it is a gentlemanly club in every sense. In this case, the white team will donate part of the money received for playing the Spanish Supercopa to RCD Mallorca. The vermillion club, unlike the Whites, FC Barcelona, and Athletic Club, receives a smaller monetary amount.
This was confirmed this Wednesday by the vermillion club's CEO of Business, Alfonso Díaz, in his appearance before the media in Saudi Arabia. As reported in the newspaper Sport, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona will carry out the great gesture with the Mallorcan team.
Alfonso Díaz confirms Real Madrid's great gesture
"Part of what was due to them they share with us and Athletic, but I'm not going to go into details", commented Alfonso Díaz. The agreement is quite similar to the one already made last year with CA Osasuna, a club that played the 2024 Spanish Supercopa.
"It's something set by the Federation, although we haven't seen the contract. We've tried to ensure the same conditions as last year. They are the same details", explained the CEO of RCD Mallorca.
Despite everything...
At RCD Mallorca, they are grateful to Real Madrid, but they remain quite indignant with the amounts to be distributed in the Super Cup. The club will receive an additional 400,000 euros from the two giants of Spanish soccer, so the total amount for participating in this competition will rise to at least 1,300,000 euros.
However, the team from Son Moix will be the one to receive the least money despite the donation from Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. "We should have the same starting amounts for the four that reach the Super Cup. Then, whoever reaches the final or wins the tournament should have a special bonus in terms of economic amounts", stated Alfonso Díaz.
In this edition, Madrid and Barcelona will each take about six million, Athletic almost three, and Mallorca would receive about one and a half million.
