Endrick Makes a Decision, Pact with Ancelotti and Madrid about His Departure

The Brazilian forward has much less prominence than expected this season

Real Madrid, besides the defeat in the Spanish Supercopa final, must manage other issues that have already affected its competitive performance and caused many debates. One of the most striking is the future of Endrick, the forward who has gone quite unnoticed this season. With hardly any opportunities, many are already talking about a possible departure.

Nothing could be further from the truth. At least during the winter transfer market it's clear that the he'll complete the current soccer season with the white jersey. What happens with his competitive future starting in summer 2025 is still not very clear.

The Copa del Rey game against Deportiva Minera was an opportunity for Endrick to prove himself with goals. While it's true that he didn't manage to score at Cartagonova, his performance in the Murcian stronghold seemed to bring good news to Ancelotti: "he played a good game," he stated. That "good" performance, however, wouldn't allow him to climb many spots in the rotation scheme for the rest of the games.

It's not the first time the Reggiolo coach warns both Endrick and his entourage that "he must be patient, he'll score goals when we need them". However, from the white leadership, it's already been made clear that the Brazilian center-forward must be more prominent... especially in important games like the recent Spanish Supercopa final.

Future in discussion

Carlo Ancelotti, despite the instruction given from the merengue board, doesn't seem to agree much with that idea. The Italian strategist continues to show his reservations toward the former Palmeiras player, who continues to work both inside and outside Ciudad Real Madrid to earn a spot. Be that as it may, the leader of the technical staff has clear intentions.

Because Carlo Ancelotti's idea is for the 24/25 season to be one of adaptation. Just as it happened with Güler during the past soccer season, the Italian coach believes Endrick must first fit into the rhythm of a club like Real Madrid. Especially to start being decisive and accumulate many playing minutes.

The goal the '16' Brazilian has pursued since he arrived in July 2024 at Santiago Bernabéu locker room is much further than it seems. Not only because he won't have all the minutes he wanted during this season, but because he must accept the vision that Ancelotti himself has designed for him.

The idea is, once that season of acclimatization to the European soccer elite is overcome, to place Endrick in one of the highest tiers of the Madrid rotation scheme. But it won't be this season... no matter how much injuries have forced the Reggiolo coach to make changes in the physiology of his gala starting eleven.
