From Star to Enemy of Madrid: He Wants to Return to Spain and Mendes Calls His Rivals

It was expected to be Madrid's great jewel and now it could end up at one of the club's major rivals because of Mendes

It's normal to think that passing through Real Madrid is something that should mark you for life as a professional player.  However, the experience at the club for some is not exactly the best, as they fail to take advantage of the greatness of the biggest club in history. This seems to have been a player's case, who was expected to be the great star of the white club and wasn't even close.

We're referring to the former Real Madrid player Marco Asensio, who is currently getting minutes with Paris Saint-Germain, where he also lacks prominence. For this reason, his agent Jorge Mendes has immediately contacted other teams for his transfer. However, surprisingly, he has offered this player's services to Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid.

While this doesn't cause any kind of annoyance from management, as he is already a player outside the club, for fans it's not the same. Some even still have mixed feelings about this player, who left through the back door.

He could be a Barça or Atlético player

In either case, this former player of the white team seems like he will leave broken hearts among the Real Madrid fans. This is because he still has a significant fan base that would like to see him back in the white jersey.

Currently, at the Parisian club, he is not getting the minutes and performance that some might have expected. He has played less than 800 minutes in 15 matches, with only six goal contributions. None of these in the Champions League.

However, offering him to clubs directly rivaling Real Madrid seems like a pretty low move by the Portuguese agent. Something that, although it doesn't affect the management, won't go unnoticed, considering it a declaration of intentions.

We'll see what happens

For now, these are just rumors, and we don't know if he will end up in any of these teams. From Barcelona's side, it seems complicated for him to sign, but with Atlético, it's a toss-up.
