Fàbregas's Confession About Nico Paz and Real Madrid: I Was Surprised That...

The Como coach was surprised that the white team let the Argentine, whom he describes as a 'world star,' leave

Cesc Fàbregas Remains Very Attentive to Nico Paz's Future. The Como coach considers the Argentine a future world star. He confessed this to journalist Rubén Cañizares in a private conversation after an interview.

"I was surprised that Real Madrid let go of Nico Paz because he seems like a top world player to me," revealed Fàbregas. He also stated that he was sure that "he was going to break out" in the future. Something that is happening this season with the Italian team.

Meeting in Valdebebas

Recently, Fàbregas and his coaching staff visited Valdebebas. They met with Manu Fernández, director of the white academy, and later with Real Madrid's coaches: Carlo and Davide Ancelotti.

According to Rubén Cañizares on Rubén Martín's channel, Fàbregas made several requests. The main one: to retain Nico Paz for one more season. He also requested three players from Castilla: Gonzalo (top scorer of the reserve team), Jacobo Ramón (central defender), and Chema Andrés (midfielder).

Details of the Operation

Last summer, Real Madrid sold Nico Paz to Como for 6.5 million euros. However, they retain 50% of his rights. Additionally, they included a buyback clause.

The white club could recover him in the next three years for:

  • 8 million in 2025.
  • 9 million in 2026.
  • 10 million in 2027.

Interest from Inter Milan

Inter has offered 40 million euros for Nico Paz. However, neither Como nor Real Madrid are considering his sale.

According to Cañizares, "Madrid doesn't want to do business with Nico and the idea is to do the same as with Brahim". That is, for him to spend two years at Como and then return to Bernabéu.

Nico Paz's market value has increased to 35 million euros. His great performance has been key. This season he has played 27 matches, scoring 6 goals and providing 6 assists in 2,078 minutes.

Fàbregas, convinced of his potential, continues to trust that he will become a world star and works day by day to polish that talent that is allowing him to fight to avoid relegation in Serie A.
