Fabrizio Romano confirms Chelsea's response to Real Madrid for Enzo Fernández
The well-known journalist shared Chelsea's response to the supposed interest from Real Madrid
Real Madrid continues to analyze different options to respond to one of Xabi Alonso's requests. In addition to strengthening the defense with a new center-back and full-backs, the Basque coach has reportedly requested the arrival of a midfielder with a creative profile.
The intention is to recover that offensive generation capacity that has diminished since Toni Kroos's retirement in the summer of 2024. Therefore, Real Madrid's scouts are focusing their efforts on profiles like Enzo Fernández, who is among the main candidates to reinforce the team's midfield.
However, the incorporation of the Argentine midfielder is not easy. Enzo Fernández has a current contract with Chelsea until 2032, and his current valuation is around 75 million euros. These conditions have led the English club's management, headed by Todd Boehly, to set a very high asking price.

Chelsea's response to Real Madrid's interest
From the sports leadership led by Todd Boehly, there is no intention to facilitate Enzo Fernández's departure. The Argentine international is a key piece in Enzo Maresca's starting eleven, making his departure highly unlikely. Real Madrid is aware of this, hence they also have other profiles on their wish list.
On the other hand, according to what was published by The Guardian, Chelsea keeps an inflexible stance regarding Enzo Fernández's future. The London club is willing to block any attempt by Real Madrid to acquire his services.

Chelsea paid a fortune for Enzo Fernández at the time and they are not willing to sell their footballer to Real Madrid. "Chelsea insists on their plans to keep Enzo Fernández despite links with Real Madrid, with no intention to sell. He is considered a key piece of the long-term project and also a leader in the locker room", commented Fabrizio Romano in the last few hours.
Meanwhile, other names continue to appear around Real Madrid. Alexis MacAllister, Angelo Stiller, or Tijjani Reijnders are other players the club is closely monitoring.
