Final Date for Alphonso Davies's Transfer: Real Madrid Will Send Emissaries
The white team wants to put an end to the Davies saga, and there's a date for it
Real Madrid has already secured the transfer of Alexander Arnold for next season. Once the agreement with the Brit is finalized, the next big target is Alphonso Davies. The Canadian seems to be in a slightly more complicated position than the Liverpool player.
Among other things because Davies has a tempting renewal offer from Bayern on the table. However, the latest reports indicate that the Canadian is not happy with it. Therefore, his future is more uncertain than ever right now.
However, there's already a date for the end of this saga, as it won't extend until June 30th. Davies wants to make a decision this very weekend about what will happen with his future. He'll either accept the renewal with Bayern or have to look for a new team.
Real Madrid is going to send emissaries to Munich to meet with his entourage and negotiate an agreement. If his decision is not to continue with the German team, the Whites want to have everything secured. The idea is to reach a deal very similar to that of Alexander Arnold.
The solution Real Madrid is considering for the left-back position for next year
Right now, Real Madrid seems to have the right-back position secured, but there are doubts about the left-back. Not only because Alphonso Davies hasn't made a definitive decision to clarify his situation. But also because Mendy's contract is also expiring and he hasn't spoken yet.
His renewal seems stalled since last summer, so if he leaves, Madrid will be in trouble. They would only have Fran García as a player for that position next season. That's why they hope to secure Davies as the great solution.
Otherwise, they'll be forced to look for another alternative, and it seems the most convincing one is Miguel Gutiérrez. He has a clause signed to return to the white team for an affordable price. There are no other options since Theo's name was mentioned but has been ruled out.
