Florentino gives the OK and the player is on his way, Xabi is now closer to securing his signing

Mastantuono will arrive in Madrid next weekend, but he will do individual work until he turns 18 years old

Franco Mastantuono is already packing his bags. The young Argentine talent is about to land in Madrid after receiving the club's green light. Florentino Pérez has given the final approval and Xabi Alonso is counting the days to have him nearby.

Real Madrid's plan is for the player to arrive in the Spanish capital between Friday, August 1 and Sunday, August 3. The goal is clear: for him to be present in Valdebebas on Monday, August 4, when preseason officially begins under the orders of the new white coach.

Although Mastantuono will be in the city and will undergo the first medical and physical tests, he won't join the group immediately. He won't be able to do so until August 14, when he turns 18.

Until then, the club has designed a specific plan for him. He will start working alone, focused on the physical aspect, to reach the highest level when he can join collective training.

Real Madrid doesn't want to waste time. They know that adapting to Europe can be complicated, so everything is focused on making sure Franco arrives prepared when he is cleared to compete.

Changes with his signing

Mastantuono's signing is not just an investment for the future. It can also trigger immediate moves in the squad.

In the attacking area, Rodrygo is one who may leave. The Brazilian didn't fully convince last season and the arrival of the Argentine makes things even more difficult for him. Xabi Alonso sees in Franco a profile that can perform well on the right wing, exactly where Rodrygo used to play.

Another name that appears on the list of possible departures is Dani Ceballos. The Andalusian barely featured in the Club World Cup and the competition in midfield keeps increasing. Mastantuono, despite his youth, can also play inside, with vision and good ball control.

In search of improvement

Real Madrid keeps betting on young talent. With Endrick in the squad since last season, and Mastantuono on the way, the club is thinking about the present and also the future.

Xabi Alonso will have to decide when and how to give them prominence. Their arrival is already a fact. The Argentine is getting closer and closer to wearing white.
