He turns his back on PSG and wants to leave, €40M, he's the ideal player: alarm at Valdebebas

The footballer doesn't want to stay in the French capital and could fit into Santiago Bernabéu locker room

Real Madrid remains active in the transfer market. Although it would have paused any signing attempts since the acquisition of Álvaro Carreras, despite Xabi Alonso's requests, the white club is still paying attention to possible targets. Especially if they leave other top-level European soccer clubs.

The generational change in Santiago Bernabéu locker room is quite advanced, but there are some positions for which there still doesn't seem to be a defined plan. There are fewer and fewer, but the goalkeeping position remains one of those spots: Thibaut Courtois's contract renewal, already underway, would provide continuity for two more seasons.

That's why the sporting management would be looking in the market for a footballer capable of succeeding the Belgian "1" with similar quality levels. The presence of Andriy Lunin, renewed until the summer of 2030 and hoping to soon take on that role, provides a security that doesn't prevent the search for other options... such as Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The Italian goalkeeper from PSG, according to the information published by Reppublica, would be preparing to leave the Parc des Princes during the current summer transfer window. According to this Italian newspaper, Donnarumma would have managed to attract the attention of several top-level European soccer clubs, aside from offers from Galatasaray or the Saudi Pro League.

He is on the list but is not a target yet

The majority of comments regarding Gianluigi Donnarumma's future don't consider Real Madrid. According to what we have been able to confirm at Defensa Central, from the Valdebebas offices they are closely monitoring his next steps, although the club's name is not among his initial candidates for a transfer. Although the white club can compete for the signing of the Italian goalkeeper, whose market value is set at €40 million, it faces a major obstacle.

The icy institutional relations between Real Madrid and PSG, shown in the Club World Cup semifinals, considerably complicate the signing of the current "1" rouge-et-bleu. The leaders headed by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi will reject any approach sent from the Spanish capital, leaving the task of convincing exclusively Donnarumma himself to force his transfer in that direction.

For now, the white board hasn't registered any movement in that regard, given that the goalkeeping dilemma seems to be settling definitively. The renewal of Thibaut Courtois, which would be progressing properly, keeps the European goalkeeper until the summer of 2027. Andriy Lunin's role as his successor, after the doubts recorded during the previous summer transfer window, has also been consolidated thanks to a renewal dating from last year.

Given the situation, Real Madrid wouldn't have room for Gianluigi Donnarumma, at least a priori. The current stability may change if the Ukrainian "13" receives a good offer that makes him change his mind, as well as Thibaut Courtois's renewal may end up failing in the coming weeks. It would be then when the merengue board would intervene to try to secure the footballing services of the Italian goalkeeper.
