Florentino has an ace up his sleeve to sign Angelo Stiller at a bargain price.
Real Madrid's president doesn't miss any detail about the German midfielder's price
In addition to the three signings Xabi Alonso is said to have requested at the Valdebebas offices to restructure the Merengue defense before the Club World Cup, there are also other important requests. One of the most notable is the arrival of a midfielder who can add more depth to the roster of creative midfielders, especially if he arrives before the Club World Cup.
Given the profile of Toni Kroos, who retired in the summer of 2024, and the record of Luka Modric, who will definitely leaveafter that tournament in the United States... the sporting management led by Florentino Pérez believes that one of the ideal candidates in that race is Angelo Stiller, a midfielder for German side Stuttgart.

The Bundesliga team's midfielder already made a good impression when he played a match against Real Madrid in the 24/25 European campaign. However, his name hasn't gained particular relevance until Xabi Alonso "pressed" at the Valdebebas offices to secure another option for the Merengue midfield. That being said, not all the news is good regarding the signing of Angelo Stiller.
Because the contract conditions proposed by Stuttgart aren't to the liking of the Madrid board: the German club is demanding about €50 million to make that transfer a reality. The summer of 2025 appears to be the ideal time to sign Angelo Stiller, but the footballer's contract could offer a profitable escape route for Madridist interests.
There is still no defined plan
Beyond the hypothetical negotiation that the Madrid bosses would have to undergo to try to reduce the price of Angelo Stiller, Real Madrid would simply have to wait. Because the contract of Stuttgart's "6" has a clause that considerably reduces his release price to €38 million ($41.3 million): that amount seems much more affordable.
However, the activation of that clause in Angelo Stiller's contract will occur in the summer of 2026, that is, in one season. Xabi Alonso has made it clear that he needs, for the 2025 summer transfer window, a midfielder to succeed Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in the creative roles in midfield. That is the big question right now at the Valdebebas offices.

Because the Basque coach will feel disappointed if Real Madrid decides to wait and, instead of negotiating with Stuttgart, intends to sign Angelo Stiller in 2026. Not only because one of his major demands as the new coach has been ignored, but also because of the hypothetical inaction in this regard. There are hardly any midfielders at the level required by the Madrid first team whose transfer fee is below €50 million ($54.4 million).
The only alternative Real Madrid could have as a temporary replacement for Angelo Stiller is Nico Paz: the Madrid club can bring him back this very summer for €9 million ($9.8 million). The current "79" at Como 1907 would be the creative signing Xabi Alonso has requested while the Merengue board waits for the summer of 2026 to sign Angelo Stiller.
