Florentino Has Three Plans to Sign William Saliba, Just Activated Plan A

Real Madrid Seems to Have Made William Saliba One of Their Major Objectives. The French footballer from Arsenal is one of the most sought-after center-backs in the European soccer elite and, as it couldn't be otherwise, the white club wants to sign him now. His addition would solve the dilemma experienced, intensely and recurrently, during the current soccer season.

But the signing of the '2' gunner won't be easy at all, given the multiple obstacles that Arsenal will present in this 'race' to achieve the team change this summer. Real Madrid, aware of this circumstance, has decided to put up to three plans into play to secure the services of the established European center-back. The first and most direct is to make an offer for him this summer, hoping for a positive reaction from Arsenal and the hypothetical opening of negotiations.

The high economic demands of Arsenal, which could request a transfer equal to or greater than 100 million euros, could jeopardize the realization of this first plan. The executives led by Florentino Pérez  are already aware of the demands of the English team, so they wouldn't waste time activating the 'plan B' for the signing of William Saliba.

In case the direct approach to the French center-back doesn't work as expected, from the offices of Valdebebas they will appeal to the expiration date of his current contract. William Saliba's contract with Arsenal ends, at least for now, in the summer of 2027. If the direct transfer this summer doesn't work, Real Madrid would postpone their approach to the summer of 2026.

There Are Several Options

It would be a completely different scenario not only for the white club, but also for an Arsenal that would face a very complex competitive dilemma to solve. On one hand, they could refuse to let William Saliba leave for a reduced transfer. If they don't agree to that aforementioned exit, they could close negotiations with Real Madrid risking a free agent departure during the following summer.

The white leaders, to carry out that second plan with all guarantees, would have to win William Saliba's complicity. The '2' gunner for now is quite neutral regarding the possibility of leaving Emirates Stadium, making it clear that he is focused on continuing to win with the English squad.

The last plan devised by the white leadership to try to sign William Saliba would occur in the summer of 2027, when the French '2' from Arsenal ends his contract. It is then that Real Madrid would venture to secure his services as a free agent... as long as the French center-back hasn't renewed during the previous two years.
