Florentino receives a Ballon d'Or delegation in Madrid: the meeting ended badly
It doesn't seem like anyone from Real Madrid will attend the next Ballon d'Or gala
The war between Real Madrid and the organizers of the Ballon d'Or continues almost a year after what happened with Vinícius. Let's remember that everything started last year when everyone thought the Brazilian would be the winner of the award. Everything was ready, but there were last-minute changes that ended with Rodri Hernández lifting the trophy in Paris (París).
It was a year in which Vinícius did much more to deserve the award than Rodri Hernández. In fact, Dani Carvajal, who had won the European Championship, the Champions League, and LaLiga as a key player, should have been more of a favorite than the City player.

Real Madrid's anger with the Ballon d'Or organization
Real Madrid decided not to travel to last year's gala to show its anger with the organizers. The club pointed to UEFA as the main culprit for Vinícius not winning. To this day, that "war" continues and the Ballon d'Or doesn't exist for the Madrid club.
In fact, everything suggests that this year no one from the club will attend the gala on September 22, which will be held in Paris (París). There is no official confirmation from Real Madrid regarding its absence from the gala. However, it is most likely that everything will be the same as last year.
France Football wanted to put an end to the dispute
In recent hours, according to "Defensa Central," emissaries from "France Football" traveled to Madrid to speak with Florentino Pérez. The meeting took place, but it did not have a good ending.
Real Madrid has three players among the nominees for the 2025 Ballon d'Or: Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius, and Jude Bellingham. However, unlike last year, none of them is a clear favorite to win it.

Meanwhile, Caroline Weir is competing for the award in the women's category. In addition, Dean Huijsen is nominated for the men's Kopa award and Linda Caicedo for the women's. Thibaut Courtois could win the Yashin.
Unlike other clubs or other years, Real Madrid has not mentioned anything related to the award on its social media. The war between the club and "France Football" is still ongoing and, although there has been an approach, Florentino Pérez has not accepted the apologies.
