Gallardo's rant against Madrid over Mastantuono's signing: what really matters...
Coach Marcelo Gallardo has not hesitated to complain about what happened with Franco Mastantuono
The Club World Cup has captured the attention of the soccer world, but Real Madrid's current events continue to spark a lot of interest.
The transfer market is at a standstill for the white club, since Xabi Alonso doesn't want its footballers to lose focus.
However, many eyes are on Franco Mastantuono, who will arrive at Santiago Bernabéu stadium next August.
This deal, as was to be expected, has caused a great stir, although not everyone is pleased about it.
Marcelo Gallardo shows his bitterness over Franco Mastantuono's departure
The last to speak out about this move was Marcelo Gallardo, who has been very critical of this deal that will bring River 45 million dollars.
"We train players for the world and transfers happen faster and faster, it's natural. Mastantuono was part of our project for next season, so now we have to reorganize, because replacing him won't be easy, but I don't think we should start from scratch," said the millionaire coach to ESPN.

In addition, Gallardo sided with Plate fans, who will lose one of the greatest figures its academy has produced.
"We knew Mastantuono was going to leave at some point, but fans don't like it to happen this way. The market sets the pace," said the Merlo coach.
Participation in the World Cup
Another issue that has worried River Plate supporters is the Club World Cup, although Franco Mastantuono's performance on the field has left no room for doubt.
"I hope he'll be able to play naturally, leaving aside everything happening around him, even though it's not easy. I don't talk to him about the future in Madrid or anything else, I just want him to do what he does best: play soccer," Gallardo said.
Now, River will have to fight for the title in Argentina and in the Copa Libertadores, a tournament it will compete in starting next August in the round of 16.
Mastantuono's absence complicates everything, but with 45 million dollars in the bank, life is always easier for a South American club.
