Gonzalo already has offers to leave, Xabi Alonso has the final say
The decision Xabi Alonso must make regarding the possible departure of Gonzalo García from Real Madrid
The Club World Cup has witnessed the unbelievable emergence of Gonzalo García at Real Madrid. Covering for Mbappé due to his severe gastroenteritis, the young Spaniard has taken most of the spotlight. 2 goals and 1 assist are the numbers Gonzalo has achieved in just three matches played with Real Madrid.
Given the outstanding performance he has shown, Real Madrid has already received several offers for Gonzalo. Sunderland and Leeds United, both from the Premier League, have shown interest in a player who can help them keep their place in the division. The former has offered a loan with a purchase option and the latter a full transfer.
Roma has also submitted a loan offer without a purchase option, being more cautious than the Premier League clubs. Real Oviedo, recently promoted from LaLiga, has made inquiries to include Gonzalo in its squad on loan.
Gonzalo García's offers
Having developed in Real Madrid's youth academy since 2014, Gonzalo García quickly moved up the ranks. Arriving at Castilla in 2023, Gonzalo managed to show all his talent throughout this season. 25 goals and 4 assists in 36 matches played is the record with which the academy product finished his campaign with Castilla.

Although his future at Real Madrid hasn't been solved, the offers he has are a tempting option. With Mbappé's presence and Endrick's upcoming return, who was injured at the end of the season, Gonzalo might not get many minutes.
However, his future will be decided by Xabi Alonso, who currently fully trusts him. After his excellent performances, Gonzalo has earned the opportunity to at least finish the Club World Cup with Real Madrid.
Xabi Alonso's decision
With the potential to become a great star in a couple of years, Gonzalo needs more playing time to reach his potential. Whether at Real Madrid or elsewhere, Gonzalo has already shown that he has enough talent to shine at the European elite level.
