Guardiola tells Manchester City its plans for Rodrygo, period

Guardiola makes a decision regarding Rodrygo and City complies with its coach's stance

Rodrygo  is one of the players who is currently on the way out of the white club due to his attitudes. Beyond the performance of the Brazilian footballer, he has shown a very negative side in this regard. Manchester City seems to have changed its mind about the footballer and is now completely out of the €100 million ($100 million) deal that would be involved.

Obviously, this is a heavy blow for the Merengue side, which had hoped that a top team like this would go after its player. In addition, it should be noted that since the Brazilian is a footballer the coach no longer counts on, it is better for them to let him leave.

They are no longer interested

For some time now, there has been talk of the possible addition of the Brazilian to Manchester City due to interest from both Guardiola and the footballer himself.  It should even be remembered that a couple of seasons ago, he had very positive comments about the Catalan coach.

Right now, this player hasn't delivered the performance that was desired, since despite playing 51 matches last season, he only managed to contribute to 24 goals. While these numbers may not seem so bad, they are insufficient for a Real Madrid winger. In addition, he has shown certain attitudes that some might label as unprofessional, in which he is even accused of missing matches.

Florentino Pérez already seems convinced that the player has finished his time at the white club and, for this reason, they were hoping for an opportunity with Manchester City. However, paying the amounts being discussed, of more than €100 million ($100 million) for the South American, is not in its plans. Therefore, they will have to look for an alternative to this team, since they seem to be moving away from the bidding entirely.

Looking for more candidates

While it is true that there are other teams that are strongly interested in the player, the reality is that nothing is concrete yet. Losing a strong candidate like this is a heavy blow, but Florentino will know how to find a solution to this situation.
