Guardiola is aware that Real Madrid is his great enemy in the market this coming summer. Manchester City needs to strengthen with the idea of launching a new project. Especially after the year they've had where they've failed in the Champions League and Premier League.
One of the objectives they've set is the signing of Florian Wirtz, even more so after confirming De Bruyne's departure. They believe the Belgian will leave a gap in the squad that the German can fill. Therefore, they are already planning how to secure his services.
