Guti takes a stand on the Casadó controversy and Real Madrid's anthem: “This is ho…”
His words about the Barça player's attitude have surprised after his lack of respect
Barcelona have shown themselves to be a team that, after years of failing, don't know how to win. In a season where things finally went as they desired, they've dropped the mask. One of the players who has exemplified this is the homegrown footballer, Marc Casadó.
Some footage of him was broadcast during the Copa del Rey final whistling Real Madrid's anthem. This is an unsportsmanlike attitude that makes clear the values present in the blaugrana locker room. Far from apologizing, he has kept up this controversial behavior.

Guti has spoken about all of this on El Chiringuito when asked by Pedrerol. He stated that he doesn't know how to whistle like that and that's why he wouldn't have done it. He insisted that "whether you whistle or not, the feeling is the same, what he wants is everything good for Barça and the worst for Madrid."
"It's the same for me, we're homegrown players and that's how we are," Guti remarked about this. What's more, he admits that he understands him, although he wouldn't have done it as a footballer. Casadó behaved like a fan and not like a footballer with his team.
Barça's attitude questioned due to their celebrations this season
Barça wanted to celebrate something after a season in which they didn't win any titles. That's why La Liga and Copa have been a salvation for all the blaugrana. Not just for the fans, but also for the players themselves, who already felt all the pressure they had.

It's not just Casadó who's been exposed for whistling the rival's anthem in an unsportsmanlike act. Fermín's chants during the parade celebrating the titles won were also controversial. This is what happens when you focus more on the rival than on yourself.
In the Copa final, Fermín was also the unfortunate protagonist during the post-match celebration. He was seen with a scarf from Barça's most radical supporters. Those whom Laporta had expelled, but who still seem to have influence even in the locker room.
