Historic record: Real Madrid skyrockets its value and reaches a staggering figure

The club presided over by Florentino Pérez remains at the top of a truly prestigious list

Real Madrid's 24/25 season hasn't exactly been one to remember in terms of sports performance. Especially for the first team, since they've only managed to win two of the seven trophies they were aiming for since last August: UEFA Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup. However, not all the news is bad in that regard.

Real Madrid is one of the benchmarks in European soccer's elite, not only because of its players and the number of fans they attract on every matchday. Also, on a strictly business level, thanks to the excellent management of the current board of directors, led by Florentino Pérez. The Merengue bosses have set more records for another year and place Real Madrid at the very top.

This already happened last season: Real Madrid became the first soccer team to surpass the €1 billion ($1.08 billion) mark in total revenue. This soccer season, despite being below expectations in terms of sports performance, confirms the Spanish capital club as the most valuable soccer club in the world. The report published by Football Benchmark values Real Madrid at €6.278 billion ($6.8 billion), making it the most valuable club on the planet.

There's no possible competition for the white club in that regard. Not even from the Premier League, the domestic competition that is currently the place where almost all elite European footballers want to develop their careers. The second most valuable club according to Football Benchmark is Manchester City: €5.104 billion ($5.5 billion).

Manchester United completes the podium in their lowest moments, with a market value of €5.061 billion ($5.5 billion). The other Spanish team present among the most valuable clubs from a business perspective is FC Barcelona, far behind Real Madrid: €4.459 billion ($4.8 billion) is the current value of the blaugrana club. In addition, they've lost one position compared to the last Football Benchmark report, placing them in fourth place.

This data makes it clear that Real Madrid's management is unmatched. Even in one of their worst seasons of the last two decades, considering the squad present in Santiago Bernabéu locker room... and the sports results achieved throughout the 24/25 season.

All the business elements contributed by Real Madrid during the last season, including a renovated Santiago Bernabéu, have been key for Football Benchmark to highlight the white club. There's no competition in the business field for the entity presided over by Florentino Pérez, but the Merengue bosses also keep a close eye on the sports needs of their teams.

That's why a striking change has already been set in motion in several of the white club's categories, with the goal of remodeling the competitive structure up to now. Xabi Alonso and Álvaro Arbeloa are the most prominent leaders of some changes that even affect Women's Real Madrid.
