Gavi's Unacceptable Rant Against Ceballos Days Before the New National Team List

The blaugrana player criticizes the Utreran shortly before De la Fuente's list.

Gavi is one of the most aggressive and violent players in LaLiga in recent years. Last week against Alavés, he had two untimely actions, one of them arriving late and causing a head-to-head collision. Dangerous actions for the physical integrity of his opponents.

However, he has always had the approval of everyone, especially the media. His aggressiveness and assaults are often whitewashed, disguised as intensity and commitment. He demonstrated it again against Sevilla with an action that earned him a yellow card in the first half.

He was substituted at halftime, and at the end of the match, he made an inadmissible outburst to the media. "You know I'm a very intense player, everyone knows they don't hold back with me at all," he complained. It seems he wants a special rule that allows him his kicks.

He also referred to the red card shown to Fermín, which he didn't even protest. Despite this, Gavi indicated that "yesterday the Madrid – Atlético was quite clear, and I think it's similar." He was referring to the yellow card shown to Ceballos for a stomp.

Gavi Goes Against Ceballos with a Clear Intention, to Harm the Utreran

Gavi could have referred to the red card that was forgiven to Romero for his tackle on Mbappé. Also for the many that haven't been shown to him for his assaults on opponents. But he preferred to point directly at Ceballos and does so with a clear intention.

They both have had a rivalry for quite some time, and it's something that has been seen in the Clásicos. But the culé wanted to go a step further with statements to the press against the Utreran. He does so when we are days away from the announcement of the Spanish National Team's call-up list.

Given Ceballos's level, he deserves the call from Luis De La Fuente, but it seems very complicated. The coach won't want him to coincide with Gavi due to the tension between them. These statements could harm Dani regarding his aspirations.
