Inda reveals Xabi Alonso's request to Florentino before the end of the transfer window
Coach Xabi Alonso may have made a demand to Florentino Pérez for the remainder of the transfer window
Real Madrid will return to training at Valdebebas this Monday and will do so with the idea of getting ready quickly, since LaLiga will begin on August 19.
Xabi Alonso has worked tirelessly in recent days, although he is aware that the squad needs to be strengthened, especially in defense.
"Obviously I've watched the matches, I have my analysis and I'm already thinking about what we can do. About how to be a balanced team: with control... within the individual qualities of the players. We must adopt a collective sense, so that everyone knows how we want to do things, both when pressing and when playing the ball out from the back. This will give us... a stability that will then allow individual qualities to flourish. That will be a very important part of the successes," said the Tolosa native about the defense during his presentation.
These words, as expected, were confirmed by Xabi Alonso himself at the Club World Cup, a tournament in which he was able to see the squad's defensive shortcomings.
Asks for a center back
This information has been confirmed by Miguel Serrano, which explains the buzz caused in recent days around Ibrahima Konaté.

"He needs to sign a world-class center back if he wants his Real Madrid to compete for all the titles as is its obligation in a season in which all its rivals, from Barcelona to Bayern Munich and including the Premier League giants, have strengthened with top-level footballers," explained the OKD journalist.
Maximum trust in Huijsen
Xabi Alonso believes that Real Madrid made the right decision by bringing in Dean Huijsen, although, for now, he is the only one who provides guarantees in the defensive area.
Militao still needs to regain his level, Rudiger and Alaba are over 30 years old (their contracts end in 2026), and Asencio doesn't convince the coaching staff.
This last point is the worst news, since the Canary Islander broke through strongly last season, but his mistakes in the United States ended up costing him dearly.
For now, Florentino Pérez will study the options, especially because Liverpool may sell Ibrahima Konaté, but everything is still hanging in the air.
