Isaac Fouto's response about the sanction for Real Madrid if Mastantuono plays

Mastantuono's registration is causing some controversy in the hours leading up to the league debut

The hours leading up to Real Madrid's league debut are proving to be somewhat eventful. One of the players who could make his debut in LaLiga tonight is Franco Mastantuono. The Argentine footballer turned 18 last Thursday and, since then, he has been training with the rest of his teammates.

Franco Mastantuono's level in recent days has been very good, which has surprised Xabi Alonso. The Tolosa native was aware of the footballer's quality, but he didn't expect such a quick adaptation. For this reason, Real Madrid's coach decided to include him in the squad for the match against CA Osasuna.

What is happening with Franco Mastantuono?

However, it seems there is some controversy surrounding Franco Mastantuono's registration. Real Madrid included the player in Castilla so as not to occupy the last roster spot, although the Argentine has arrived to be with the first team. In fact, he will wear the "30" on his back.

As the days have gone by, Culers and some anti-Madridists have spoken about Mastantuono's case as a "fraud of law." However, it doesn't take much digging to find out that this is a practice several clubs have carried out in recent years.

Many believe that registering Franco Mastantuono with Castilla's roster spot, but having his signing intended for the first team, is cheating. They say Real Madrid shouldn't do this in order to keep the possibility of a last-minute signing in the market. However, when other clubs carry out this practice, nobody says anything at all.

Isaac Fouto explains the reason why there won't be a sanction for Real Madrid

In the latest "Partidazo de COPE," Isaac Fouto analyzed the issue of Franco Mastantuono's registration quite clearly. "Several jurists have spoken about this. There are two articles in the regulations that state that the loyalty-dependence relationship of a club can't be used to circumvent the spirit of the rule," he commented.

"Any agreement that contravenes this spirit can be considered a fraud of law. All teams do this. What happens is that it's less publicized when Osasuna or Levante do it with reserve team players than when Madrid does it," Isaac Fouto added.

"In theory, yes, they could file a complaint, but in practice, it won't happen. No team will do it because they all do the same with their reserve teams. Moreover, Madrid could always line up Mastantuono in Castilla and there would be nothing to object," he concluded.
