Jesé involved in Mbappé's signing by Real Madrid

Jesé Rodríguez, former Real Madrid footballer and current footballer for UD Las Palmas, spoke with Edu Aguirre about several episodes from his career. In a new episode of "Los Amigos de Edu," the forward was asked about his time at Paris Saint-Germain, where he also played alongside Kylian Mbappé.

"I told Mbappé to go to Real Madrid to win the Ballon d'Or", said Jesé Rodríguez to Edu Aguirre. The Canary Islands striker told the current Madrid forward that he had to sign for Real Madrid no matter what in order to win that award.

At that time, Kylian Mbappé had arrived at Paris Saint-Germain from AS Monaco.Jesé Rodríguez, who still belonged to Real Madrid, signed a loan deal with the Parisian club that did not go as the club expected.

During that period, the Frenchman asked him what the Madrid club was like. According to Jesé Rodríguez, Kylian Mbappé told him that his dream was to win the Ballon d'Or. The Canary Islander’s response was clear: "You have to go to Real Madrid."

Additionally, Edu Aguirre asked Jesé Rodríguez about Kylian Mbappé's change in recent years. "Yes, he knows much more. Keep in mind that back then he hadn't even won the World Cup with France", he replied.

"I was with him, then he went to France and won the World Cup and so on. I think now he has much more knowledge about everything. He's more aware of many things", explained Jesé Rodríguez.

"But I already saw that he was going to be a star. Right after I left, Madrid started wanting Mbappé, yes", said the Canary Islander.

"He had been in Paris for a year, but he wanted to go to Madrid because he knew they wanted him. He asked me. Because I left and came back, I was on loan", added Jesé Rodríguez. 

"I think one day he's going to win the Ballon d'Or, but he has to win it at Real Madrid. I think he wouldn't win it anywhere else", concluded the forward.
