Josep Pedrerol Reveals Real Madrid's Plans to Win LaLiga, There Are Options

The well-known journalist revealed the white squad's thoughts on winning LaLiga

Barça achieved an epic victory against Real Madrid, prevailing in overtime to win the Copa del Rey. It wasn't an easy match, as the white team came close to touching the trophy with their hands after goals from Mbappé and Tchouaméni. Meanwhile, they can add a League that is one step away from being secured and a path in the Champions that currently has them in the semifinals.

Josep Pedrerol has spoken about it, stating that "the treble is closer". During the opening of 'El Chiringuito' after the Copa final, the host talked about the possible treble. "Barça has been crowned champion of the Copa del Rey, and the treble is closer", he explained.

Real Madrid Still Has League Options

However, Josep Pedrerol also talked about the chances of winning LaLiga that Real Madrid still has. The white team needs a slip-up from Barça and to win the Clásico at Montjuïc on May 11. Additionally, Ancelotti's players are not favored by the goal average, so a tie in points with Barça would not be positive.

"If Barça stumbles, Madrid is the League champion", commented Josep Pedrerol to the other panelists present. "Another option would be: let's not show up, we've lost all (the Clásicos)", the host stated.

"Between the current wear and tear and the two matches against Inter, there could be a tie. A tie would be enough for the Montjuïc match to be a final. In Madrid, they understand they can lose, but yesterday's second half invites optimism and that there will be chances", added Josep Pedrerol.

FC Barcelona's Difficult Schedule

After the effort made in the Copa del Rey, Barça will face Inter Milan in Montjuïc in just two days. A very challenging match where they will have to give their all to achieve a good result. Then comes the visit to José Zorrilla in Valladolid, against a team already relegated that will face the match with less pressure.

On May 6, Barça will play another of the most important matches of their season in Italy. Five days later, the league Clásico will arrive at Montjuïc. From there, the culé team will have three more matches where they could slip and give options to Real Madrid.
