Real Madrid Will Use a Very Memorable Precedent to Save Rüdiger from the Sanction
Will use a precedent
The night of the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona left all of Madridism extremely affected by a very tough defeat. With victory in hand, even the players themselves lamented the rival's comeback as very few times seen. However, one of the most affected was Antonio Rüdiger, as he had a direct and aggressive confrontation with the referee.
This could lead to an exemplary sanction of up to 30 matches according to what can be read on social media according to some reports. Nevertheless, although everything seems very much against the German and Madrid, there is a very important precedent to consider. It is against Atlético de Madrid, where Arda Turan, in a fit of rage, threw a boot at the linesman, and didn't even receive any sanction.

With this in mind, the sanction for the German, who has also apologized on social media after this situation, could have an alternative. One which could, at least, not sentence the Merengue center-back so brutally for the rest of the season.
Must Have the Same Criteria
In the case of the Atlético de Madrid player, things were much more lenient back then, but that sets the standard. Rüdiger makes a clear mistake regarding his reaction, which some labeled as extremely aggressive.
Obviously, anti-Madridism demands an exemplary sanction seeing it as the perfect opportunity to sink Real Madrid even further. But, things could go very wrong in every way for those who go against the club. This precedent, coming directly from an anti-Madridist team, would be the perfect way to teach them a lesson again.

While everything is in the hands of the Federation and the relevant authorities, things could somehow be in favor of the club.
Only Wait and Respond
The important thing now is to remain calm and wait for the relevant authorities to take their part in the matter. However, if the decision is against the Merengues, this will be important to change the very negative outlook in these difficult times for Madridism.
