Josep Pedrerol Speaks Out on Ancelotti and Flick, Shocking Words: 'El M..'

The Director and Host of 'El Chiringuito de Jugones' Resolves the Comparison Between Both Coaches

One of Real Madrid's most important matches on the calendar is the Clásico on April 26, a match against FC Barcelona for the Copa del Rey. The final to be played at the La Cartuja stadium in Seville has reignited the comparisons between both teams and the coaches who are in charge of their respective sports disciplines.

Josep Pedrerol, in view of what has happened during the current season, has decided to express his opinion regarding the debate between Carlo Ancelotti and Hansi Flick on "El Chiringuito de Jugones." The sports talk show host made it clear that the Reggiolo coach "for me is the best in the world and Flick is someone who can be a good coach."

"I think Barça and Madrid are something else," says Josep Pedrerol, "and I want to see them here." The veteran journalist doesn't hide his request: "I want to see Flick, who is playing very well, I want to see him win the Cup, the Champions League, and La Liga" this season. He would even lower his demands by stating that "I'll take the Cup out," only requesting "the Champions League or La Liga" as titles that the German must win.

In his opinion, "it's very good to be the coach who plays the most beautifully, but if it doesn't round off with a title," all those achievements would not have been worth it, says Josep Pedrerol. "Cruyff was a great coach, if he wins two Tenerife Leagues on the last day, he wasn't that good, and the next one against Deportivo de la Coruña." Josep Pedrerol is clear: "he won three consecutive Leagues on the last day."

Great Difference

"If he had lost all three, which was possible, because in Tenerife what happened happened and then the Deportivo match was a penalty that Djukic took because Bebeto didn't show up..." Josep Pedrerol has no doubt: "if Cruyff loses those three Leagues, we're talking about a different Barça" because "in the end, everything depends on a goal" or other aspects of the game.

"Flick is very good, but if Barça doesn't win anything, Flick won't be anything," says Josep Pedrerol. This harsh comment about the current FC Barcelona coach advances the journalist's assessment: only the titles won matter to him. "Ancelotti I know is the best, for me he is," the veteran Catalan television host advances, "because he has already done it," he has already achieved those titles with Real Madrid.

"He has done it with Real Madrid. And I want to see Flick and I think Flick can achieve it and hopefully because I'm excited about Flick too," Josep Pedrerol confesses, revealing his most culé sentiment. Thus, Josep Pedrerol understands that Carlo Ancelotti is above, at least right now, his great rival Hansi Flick.

The reason that leads the Reggiolo coach to 'win' that comparison is the titles obtained with Real Madrid. Josep Pedrerol hopes that the Barcelona coach can win his first trophies this season, but until then he will always be a step below, in his honest opinion, the Italian strategist.
