Klopp, Regretful, Calls Real Madrid to Cancel the Signing: 'Too Late'
The German coach is out of the race to succeed Carlo Ancelotti
The debate about the coach at Real Madrid has caused dozens of repercussions and comments that are gradually taking shape. One of the most repeated rumors in recent times is none other than the possibility of Jürgen Klopp, former Liverpool coach, joining the Madrid ranks this summer.
According to various sources, those conversations would have taken place several weeks ago. Real Madrid would have contacted the current director of soccer for the Red Bull brand in Europe twice, but the German coach hesitated. That hesitation, according to Klopp's own circle, would have taken its toll.

This is pointed out by the newspaper MARCA in one of its latest publications. This sports newspaper reveals Real Madrid's interest in acquiring Jürgen Klopp's services as a coach to replace Carlo Ancelotti, but it also recalls the doubts of the German. At the same time, it notes that Klopp "regrets" having shown that hesitation to the question from the white club.
Especially because the leaders led by Florentino Pérez have not lost sight of other options, particularly their number one candidate, while consulting Klopp's own future plans. That's why the former Liverpool coach believes he should have accepted the Madrid offer without hesitation.
No Turning Back
Now it would be too late to do so, they recall from MARCA. The reason lies within Real Madrid itself: not because they don't want to incorporate him, since Jürgen Klopp is a coach who has always been liked by the white leadership. The reason Jürgen Klopp can't be Real Madrid's coach is due to the agreement already reached with Xabi Alonso.
The current Bayer Leverkusen coach, according to the newspaper MARCA, would have everything prepared to succeed Carlo Ancelotti for the 25/26 season... although it remains to be seen on what date he does so, given the debate sparked by the possibilities of the Club World Cup. Xabi Alonso, preferably, would want to assume his position after that tournament organized by FIFA.

In any case, Jürgen Klopp has been very close to being the new coach of Real Madrid. But his doubts at the last moment, when the executives led by Florentino Pérez were truly interested in him, have ended up leaving him out of this particular race.
With Xabi Alonso secured according to MARCA as the first step of the planned modifications for the first team, now the sports management has a titanic task ahead. Because they must find the right footballers to continue the good sports results achieved this season as soon as possible.
