L'Équipe announces Rodrygo's next destination, transferred with one condition
The French newspaper points to the next team of the Osasco forward
The "Rodrygo case" is one of the most notorious sagas that Real Madrid is experiencing after the Club World Cup. Doubts regarding the future of the verdeamarelo striker still haven't been solved, causing transfer market rumors to offer different versions about what could happen in the coming weeks.
One of the most recurring lines in the media is the idea that Rodrygo Goes will leave for the Premier League. Several English teams have made quite notable moves to secure his services: Arsenal was first, but it now seems to have lost much ground. Liverpool appears to be leading now according to sources such as L'Équipe.

This French newspaper indicates that the red bosses are willing to sign Rodrygo Goes for a transfer similar to the one demanded by Real Madrid. However, there is a sine qua non condition for that transfer from the merengue locker room to happen this summer: the sale of Luis Díaz. Liverpool's Colombian number 7 is now on Bayern Munich's radar.
From the offices on Säbener Straße, they are exploring the possibility of signing the South American striker from the English club, but there still aren't any concrete moves regarding that signing. As things stand, the operation for Rodrygo Goes is on hold until Anfield Road is freed from Luis Díaz's contract.
Still waiting
If the Colombian striker doesn't complete his transfer to Allianz Arena this summer, everything suggests that Liverpool will rule out Rodrygo. That is the main condition that Real Madrid's verdeamarelo number 11 has to change teams and follow the path that they believe is better at the white club.
The results of his brief performances in the 2025 Club World Cup, as well as a low level during the 24/25 campaign, have ultimately put him on the exit ramp. Xabi Alonso is determined to completely restructure the locker room at Santiago Bernabéu: Rodrygo Goes has lost one of the few spots reserved for the undisputed starters.

The lack of competitive interest perceived by the coaches of the first team would have been key in deciding his future at Real Madrid. Many members of the coaching staff, as well as the merengue leadership, believe that the best decision for Rodrygo Goes is to leave the Spanish capital as soon as possible.
However, that move to Liverpool will only happen if the red bosses can get rid of Luis Díaz's contract. The operation depends on the willingness of a Bayern Munich that, for now, still hasn't made the definitive approach that would solve two transfer market sagas at the same time.
