Liverpool Asks Real Madrid for a Favor to Forgive the Arnold Case

Liverpool doesn't want to miss the opportunity and asks Madrid for a favor with one of Ancelotti's first team players

The Meringue team has been constantly working on the possibility of bringing in high-quality players for the next season. Several names have been strongly linked to joining the white team, although one of the main ones is Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Liverpool player seems to be getting closer to the Meringue team, and thus his transfer has been prioritized.

However, Liverpool, quite cleverly, has decided to put an option on the table to "forgive" this operation. This would involve a sort of exchange between Aurélien Tchouaméni and the British winger for the white team. This would be a very interesting blow to the team's structure, as the French player is indispensable for Ancelotti.

In the past, this player caught the attention of the Liverpool team from Monaco, but he chose to join the Spanish team. Now, given his somewhat questionable level with the Whites, he could change his course and finally arrive in England.

They want the French pivot

Aurélien Tchouaméni was one of the most interesting additions Real Madrid made just a couple of years ago. He arrived for a quite significant amount to the Meringue team in the 2022 summer, paying 80 million euros.

Currently, in the season, he has more than 1,700 minutes in 22 matches, but with quite a few doubts regarding his performance. Therefore, an exchange with an Alexander-Arnold with almost 2,000 minutes in 26 matches and 7 goal contributions doesn't sound so far-fetched.

However, perhaps the transfer isn't as simple as this, as it heavily depends on the operation that can be carried out with Martín Zubimendi. Another of Real Madrid's targets that, if achieved, the Frenchman's departure would be more than agreed upon.

Let's see what happens

For now, the only thing we can consider is that the French player will continue to be part of Real Madrid for the next season. Something that the British player possibly will too, but everything can change based on a small unexpected detail.
