Álvaro Benito gives advice to Real Madrid before the 3 crucial matches
The well-known communicator spoke about the upcoming schedule for Real Madrid
Álvaro Benito, former Real Madrid player and expert communicator on current football affairs, spoke about the Madrid team's schedule. Additionally, the Spaniard wanted to give advice to Carlo Ancelotti during his intervention on Cadena SER.
"You have to prioritize, because nobody expected there to be such a decisive knockout round (Manchester City) for the season at the beginning of February", emphasized Álvaro Benito.
The singer of the band Pignoise, who also succeeds as a commentator on Movistar, highlighted the matches against Manchester City. Real Madrid, which should have advanced among the top eight, didn't do their homework on time and will face the English champions.
Beware of Manchester City...
"With Manchester City, you can fall... If you fall in the semifinals or quarterfinals. It's a disappointment, but it's within the realm of possibility", highlighted Álvaro Benito.
Despite Manchester City going through a challenging season, the English team is capable of defeating Real Madrid. For this reason, Carlo Ancelotti will have to plan the knockout round carefully to leave behind one of the title contenders.
"Being out of the Champions League from the round of 16 can be tough", commented Álvaro Benito.
"With what's coming, he must prioritize. I would even prioritize the Manchester City match over the league match against Atlético de Madrid", he explained.
Álvaro Benito's order of priorities
In the coming days, Real Madrid will face three tough challenges: the Copa quarterfinals, the Madrid classic, and the Champions League first leg. Meanwhile, Álvaro Benito is very clear about the order of priorities that Carlo Ancelotti should establish.
"The match against Atlético is important, but by no means decisive. The match against Leganés (Copa del Rey quarterfinals) is decisive. You're very close to competing for a title", he commented.
"The order of priorities (for Real Madrid) for me is Manchester City, Leganés, and Atlético de Madrid", concluded Álvaro Benito.
For now, Real Madrid will face the first of the three challenges next Wednesday. Without Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham, the Madrid team will have to defeat CD Leganés to be in the Copa semifinals.
