Mbappé's big goal for this season after not winning the Champions League

Mbappé has a personal goal he wants to achieve in his first season as a Madridist

Kylian Mbappé is one point behind Gyökeres in the race for the European Golden Boot. The Parisian star has 40 goals and 6 assists in 53 matches and wants to end up taking the individual award. It would be the first of his sports career, even though he has been close to achieving it on other occasions.

The second part of the season that Kylian Mbappé is having is spectacular. He has become the team's leader and the player with the most goals in his first season with Real Madrid. This speaks very well of his adaptation and his scoring ability, which was never questioned.

Unfortunately, his numbers haven't helped Real Madrid win La Liga, the Copa, or the Champions League. He did win the UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup by scoring in both finals. But everyone expected Real Madrid to also triumph in the other competitions, and he hasn't been able to do it alone.

Despite this, Kylian Mbappé's season is quite good and is frankly well-regarded among the high-ranking officials of the entity. His journey as a Madridist didn't start well, but he managed to get back on track from the clash against Athletic Club de Bilbao at San Mamés.

Winning these individual distinctions isn't enough for Mbappé himself. He arrived with the goal of conquering the Champions League, and this will be his objective during his time as a footballer for Real Madrid. In fact, he signed with the white club to achieve that desired "big-eared" trophy.

A true leader

In this poor season for the merengue team, Mbappé has shown that he is capable of being the great leader of Real Madrid. In fact, according to various media reports, this would be Xabi Alonso's idea. The Donostian would want to give him more stripes and have the game revolve around him.

In the noble area of Chamartín, they have no doubt at all about everything he can offer. He is going to surpass the 40-goal mark and is likely to win the Pichichi. However, Florentino, along with his closest people, believes that those numbers will be surpassed in the not-too-distant future.
