Marc Guehi chooses between Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Bayern, Barça ruled out

The center-back position is one of the absolute needs for the Merengue side, where significant changes have already been seen with the arrival of Dean Huijsen. However, there are other names on the list of possible additions in this area for Real Madrid, such as Marc Guehi. Now it seems that, even with interest from other teams like Liverpool and Bayern Munich, the Crystal Palace footballer prefers Real Madrid.

This is excellent news for Florentino Pérez, who has had him as one of his main targets in recent transfer windows. Now, after being ruled out by Liverpool, even though everything seemed settled, Real Madrid has an important opportunity.  It will be in the summer of 2026 when they'll make the definitive move to bring this player to the Merengue center-back position.

I want him next year

This player seems to have a rather important priority, setting aside teams like Liverpool that, despite having a deal with them, he didn't join this summer.  This puts Real Madrid as the player's main priority regarding his transfer. Although it won't be easy, since Crystal Palace put up obstacles to prevent him from leaving this summer.

However, when his contract with the London side ends in the summer of 2026, he could join any team for free. This is where Real Madrid is greatly benefited, as it puts Santiago Bernabéu side above the other two teams. Bayern Munich, despite being a very strong rival in history and the present, doesn't seem to be a weakness.

Liverpool, which practically had an agreement with him, also isn't in the player's plans and everything indicates that this will remain the case for the next season. This way, Real Madrid seems to have an absolute advantage in signing this player and will need to make the most of it at all costs.

It's the president's turn

Florentino Pérez will have to put his best cards on the table to be able to sign this player and prevent any competition for his signing. While this doesn't seem out of the question, it also won't be easy with all the competition surrounding the footballer. Taking a wrong step could mean losing this deal, and that's a luxury the Merengue side can't afford today.
