Mbappé Admits What He meant with His Celebration to the Crest: 'No…'

The Frenchman has explained his much-discussed gesture to the fans after scoring against Celta

Mbappé continued his good streak against Celta de Vigo by scoring Real Madrid's first goal. At that moment, it seemed like he was paving the way to the Copa del Rey quarterfinals. Although everything got more complicated than expected and ended up being solved in extra time.

However, the game was marked by what happened last Sunday in the Supercopa final against Barça. It was clear that Bernabéu was going to make its opinion known after the team's performance. They did so from the moment the team line-ups were announced over the loudspeakers.

Tchouaméni and Ancelotti received the loudest boos, although Lucas Vázquez also heard them. However, the worst part was for the midfielder who heard the sound of wind every time he touched the ball. An event that perhaps didn't go unnoticed by his compatriot, Mbappé.

Kylian had indeed been cheered, as he was the only one spared from criticism in the Clásico. However, after scoring the goal against Celta de Vigo, he left a celebration that has been much talked about. He grabbed the crest, pointed to it, and made a gesture of shaking his finger while looking at the stands.

Mbappé explains the truth about the gesture with which he celebrated the goal

For some, it was a call for attention and unity so that they wouldn't boo his teammates. For others, it was a statement of the team's struggle with their difficulties. This caused some to see it positively and others to disagree with the gesture.

However, it was Mbappé himself who explained what he meant with his celebration of the badge. He did so on his Instagram profile, where he posted the image with a very clear message. "You don't play with the badge, Hala Madrid" and a white heart join the photo.

Opinions are both for and against after seeing Mbappé's reaction to scoring his goal against Celta. However, what seems clear is that he's increasingly comfortable in the Real Madrid jersey. He now allows himself the top-level of addressing the stands as another star and leader.
