Mbappé Takes His War with PSG to UEFA and There Could Be Serious Consequences

The French footballer's litigation with his former club is far from over

Kylian Mbappé, according to his lawyers, has decided "to go on the offensive" in the litigation he has had open with PSG for more than half a year. The now Real Madrid footballer claims about 55 million euros (55 million euros) in unpaid salaries and bonuses, an amount that the rouge-et-bleu entity refuses to pay him for the moment.

This latest link that ties Kylian Mbappé to PSG has reached UEFA. The action of the Real Madrid '9's lawyers, moreover, would have achieved the preventive seizure of the Parisian club's accounts of those 55 million euros (55 million euros). The decision of the ordinary justice is not the only one that matters, as Mbappé's lawyers have also contacted the French Football Federation.

In their letter to the FFF, Kylian Mbappé's legal representatives request that the Federation take this 'case' to UEFA. That move would mean mediation by the entity presided over by Aleksander Ceferin... which could end with PSG's disqualification from European competitions if the ruling is in favor of Kylian Mbappé.

The striker from Bondy's lawyers have not only referred to the frameworks of sports justice, as they have also announced "civil and criminal actions" for this process. The long litigation, which has lasted more than a year, would have caused damage to "the player's image and reputation".

We'll See How It Ends

The insults on social media that Kylian Mbappé would have received during the process have led to criminal and civil actions by the French player's lawyers. But it is not the only facet of a case that has become more complicated against PSG, which decided to sideline the footballer during the early stages of last season. That practice is against what is established in the French players' union statute, an organization that also filed a complaint.

Under that pressure, Kylian Mbappé and PSG reached a verbal agreement in which the footballer 'forgave' the 55 million euros (55 million euros) in salaries and bonuses. The lawyers of the now Madrid player, however, do not recognize that verbal agreement... which is why they have launched several legal actions and "attacks" against the entity presided over by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.

The Parisian squad's legal services cling to that pact, of which there is no written record, as the main defense against all the lawsuits derived from the main file. Be that as it may, those claims have not prevented the French capital team from accumulating a series of notable defeats that have led to this situation.

The litigation between Kylian Mbappé and PSG, now in the hands of UEFA, could entail serious consequences for the entity presided over by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. If the club receives a ruling adverse to its interests, the bosses based in Nyon could exclude the rouge-et-bleu team from European competitions, where it now accumulates relative success.
