"Real Madrid Always Grows Until the End and Never Gives Up"

Among various aspects, Casemiro was asked about the Champions League tie between Real Madrid and Manchester City. "The comeback wasn't a surprise for me. Madrid does it almost always and everyone knows the history of this team and what it is capable of doing", he explained.

"Madrid always grows until the end and never gives up. Even losing 2-1, I knew there was a lot of match left", commented the Brazilian midfielder to Tomás Roncero.

"It's not going to be easy, but Bernabéu, on those Champions nights, is very special. I wish all the luck in the world to my former teammates and not just because of my rivalry with City, but more for Madrid", he stated.

A Story That Had Never Come to Light

Meanwhile, Casemiro shared in the newspaper AS a story that had never been revealed. After the Milan final, in which Real Madrid defeated Atlético, Luka Modric made a surreal prediction.

"I'm going to tell you something I've never said in any interview: after the Champions League final in Milan vs Atlético de Madrid, we were celebrating in the locker room. Then Luka Modrić approached us and said: 'Friends, we have to win two more Champions Leagues now'", he explained.

At that moment, Casemiro replied to Luka Modric's comment: "Come on, Luka, we've won two tournaments almost in a row since Lisbon".

After Casemiro's response, Luka Modric was adamant. "No, no. With this great team we have, we have to take advantage and make history by winning at least two consecutive matches", he commented.

"Then we won the 12th in Cardiff and the 13th in Kiev. Consecutively. Luka knew it", concluded Casemiro.

Real Madrid defeated Juventus de Turín (4-1) in Cardiff and, a year later, also defeated Liverpool (3-1) in Kiev.
