Munuera Montero, on the Verge of Tears on El Partidazo De Cope: 'it's Going...'

The referee has spoken to COPE after the scandal that has erupted

The controversy continues with Spanish refereeing even after the end of the last league matchday. The performances against Real Madrid and in favor of Barcelona continue to be a topic of discussion. Especially following the information that has come to light about Munuera Montero.

The referee who officiated the Osasuna – Real Madrid match could be violating the RFEF's code of ethics. The company he founded reportedly has clients such as Atlético de Madrid or Manchester City. This undoubtedly raises more doubts and suspicions about his actions.

To justify himself, he spoke on Cadena COPE where he appeared very affected by everything that has been revealed. "I've spent the whole day locked up at home not believing what's happening" the referee admitted. Among other things, he denied the information that was being revealed throughout the day.

"It's very tough, especially not for me, as I'm very mentally strong, but this is getting out of hand" he pointed out. He seemed not only upset but also worried about everything. Although nothing is clear yet, the investigation will bring the whole truth to light.

Not only that, but he has also gone on the offensive by issuing threats to try to stop everything. Juanma Castaño asked him if he knew who was behind all this. His response was clear: "I wish I could know because then it would be the next lawsuit I would file."

If the information is proven true, it would be a clear attack on the press for bringing the truth to light. But he focuses on his colleagues, on the young referees who are just starting. That's why he wondered "what kind of sport are we creating with soccer, what do we want, this?"
