Not basketball, not golf, Vinicius reveals which sport he'd pursue beyond soccer

The Brazilian is a padel enthusiast and whenever possible, he plays with his closest circle. He even has a court at home

Vinicius is one of the most explosive players at Real Madrid. His speed, dribbling, and ability to decide matches have made him a global figure. But off the field, he also has other sporting passions.

Despite what many might think, the Brazilian wouldn't choose basketball or golf if he weren't a footballer. He also wouldn't opt for sports that are typical among elite players. His choice is very different.

Paddle tennis, his other great passion

Vinicius has admitted in several interviews that if he didn't dedicate himself to soccer, his life would revolve around another sport:  paddle tennis. He loves it and plays whenever he has free time.

Through his social media, he has shown his skill with the paddle several times. He has even shared matches with friends, coaches, and other athletes.

His style, fast and explosive, fits very well with this sport. He has reflexes, speed, and great coordination. These are qualities that also help him on the soccer field.

A sport that is gaining popularity

Paddle tennis is one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide. In Spain and Latin America, it has reached great popularity. Many footballers play it as a form of training and fun.

But in Vinicius's case, it's not just a passing hobby. He himself has said that he'd like to compete professionally if he ever leaves soccer. In fact, he has already been in contact with coaches from the professional circuit.

For Vinicius, paddle tennis is also a way to relax. It helps him disconnect from the stress of high-level competition. In addition, it allows him to keep his physical shape without the need for heavy training sessions.

During preseason or on days off, it's common to see him on private courts or at exclusive clubs. He shares matches with friends, and sometimes even with fans who run into him.

The future after soccer

Although he still has many years ahead in soccer, Vinicius is already thinking about what will come next. Meanwhile, in that future, paddle tennis could play a leading role.

Who knows if one day we'll see him with a paddle in hand, competing in major tournaments. For now, it's just a dream. But knowing Vinicius, anything is possible.
