Neither Chelsea nor Liverpool: Real Madrid's toughest rival in the race for Huijsen

One of the great revelations of this season has been Dean Huijsen's impressive level. The young Bournemouth center-back has stood out for quickly establishing himself in the English club's defense and the dynamics of the Premier League.  With a great future ahead, Real Madrid showed a strong interest in carrying out his signing.

However, Real Madrid will have to face a club that has also shown interest in Huijsen.  Surpassing Chelsea and Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur is the club that is willing to go all the way for Huijsen. Considering Huijsen as an ideal reinforcement amid doubts about their defense, Real Madrid must solve this situation as soon as possible.

With a 60 million euro release clause, Real Madrid knows exactly what to do to finalize this operation. Even so, with the market getting closer to starting, the fight for Dean Huijsen will be long and extremely overwhelming.

The fight for Dean Huijsen

Playing just his first season in the Premier League, Dean Huijsen quickly managed to adapt. Accumulating 2,620 minutes during this campaign, Huijsen had no problem earning a place in the starting eleven. A clear sign that, at just 20 years old, Huijsen has managed to establish himself as a more than promising center-back.

Although his contract with Bournemouth runs until 2030, his release clause is an opportunity to leave the English club. Suffering throughout the season with their defense, Real Madrid has seen Huijsen as the ideal center-back to begin renewing this position.

Being able to form the future duo alongside Raúl Asencio, Real Madrid is aware of the importance of signing Huijsen. However, Tottenham's presence is a problem that could start an undesired bidding war for Huijsen.
