The defense remains the area that needs the most transfers for Real Madrid. The team, after the multiple injuries the team has suffered, has found itself immersed in the search for central defenders. While several interesting options have emerged, Florentino Pérez has shown a special interest in two young central defenders from Portugal.

Sending Juni Calafat to make their transfers, Zeno Debast and Ousmane Diomande could join Real Madrid. Both central defenders from Sporting de Portugal fit the profile the team is looking for to strengthen its defense. Additionally, the great chemistry they have on the field is a big plus for them to become the new duo for the Meringue team.

While their arrivals might not happen in this winter market, Calafat's presence has highlighted its importance for Real Madrid. After several months of studying and analyzing various central defenders, the club has finally set its targets for the market.

New Meringue duo

In his first season with Sporting, Debast has managed to establish himself in the Portuguese team. Playing 1,511 minutes this season, the 21-year-old central defender has formed a great duo with Diomande. While his contract runs until 2029, his value of 24 million euros is affordable for Real Madrid.

As for Ousmane Diomande, the center-back has solidified his position in the club after two seasons since his arrival. Sharing the same age as Zeno Debast, the center-back from Ivory Coast has managed to play 1,802 minutes throughout this campaign.

Even though their transfers wouldn't be easy to accomplish, Florentino Pérez trusts in Juni Calafat's abilities. transfer both center-backs wouldn't only greatly strengthen Real Madrid's defense but also renew the team entirely.
